Dr. Karina Yager is a transdisciplinary scientist from Stony Brook University's School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences who has been working in the Andes of South America for over two decades. Her research is aimed at understanding the social and ecological impacts of climate change in high mountain environments, identifying pathways to strengthen the resilience of natural alpine ecosystems and supporting local traditional mountain communities.
