Gaetano Donizetti’s Anna Bolena (1830) is a tragic bel canto masterpiece chronicling the final days of Anne Boleyn as Henry VIII plots to replace her with Jane Seymour. This famed production features Anna Netrebko’s commanding Anna and Elīna Garanča’s poignant Giovanna (Jane) Seymour, highlighted by their dramatic, vocal, and emotional showdown in Act II.
