Jerry Simons, PA-C, member of the Medical Advisory Panel of Stony Brook Southampton Hospital’s Regional Tick-Borne Disease Resource Center and an Assistant Professor at Stony Brook Medicine, will speak about the types of diseases that are carried by the different species of ticks found on Eastern Long Island. Symptoms, diagnostic tests, treatment options, and tips on preventing tick bites will also be shared.
