During the month of October, the Mattituck-Laurel Library will be collecting items that will be donated to the Southold Animal Shelter. Some of the items requested are: Blankets, paper towels, wet dog food, treats for cats and dogs and toys for cats and dogs.

Registered voters in the Mattituck-Laurel Library District will be voting on the proposed 2026 budget as well as elect two (2) trustees, to fill two (2) at-large seats, each with a three-year term commencing November 10, 2025 and expiring November 13, 2028.

The Board of Trustees of Your Community Library have been thoroughly and thoughtfully engaged in assessing the current state of our building and considering how it serves our community.

We are proud to announce that we are now supporting students in our school district with access to our ebook and audiobook collections through Sora!

Sora offers the ability for students to explore age-appropriate digital books from Livebrary.com with their Classlink credentials.

As we plan for a potential library renovation, we want to hear from you. This survey gives you the opportunity to share your thoughts on the current teen space and suggest ideas for future improvements.
