Event Details

The Battle of the Atlantic, which lasted from 1939 to 1945, involved underwater combat between German submarines, or U-boats, and Allied forces. The U-boats were the deadliest threat to the Allies, who used a variety of tactics to counter them. How did the Allies defeat them?
