Event Details

John Viteritti, a local retired professor with experience teaching at LIU Southampton College and New York University, will lead a monthly seminar on American History. May's seminar will cover: the four events that demonstrate Lincoln's combination of ideals and pragmatism: the Emancipation Proclamation, the presidential campaign of 1864, the passing of the 13th Amendment, and the surrender at Appomattox. Open to the public and free of cost. Registration encouraged, walk-ins welcome.
