Event Details

Join us for a fall poetry reading from two Long Island literary figures. Fran Castan will share new poems from a book nearing completion, as well as her poems from "The Widow's Quilt" and "Venice: City That Paints Itself." She has won prizes from The Poetry Society of America, The Hippocrates Society for Poetry and Medicine, N.Y.U. & The Academy of American Poets and, in 2013, she was named Long Island Poet of the Year by The Walt Whitman Birthplace Association.

Canio Pavone, founder of the iconic Canio’s Books in Sag Harbor, will present a brief history of Italian poetry, highlighting works from the Early Renaissance to today in both Italian and English.
