Event Details

This program traces Chagall’s artistic life from his beginnings in Vitebsk, Belarus, to his pursuit of an art career in St. Petersburg (1906-1910) and his encounter with the kaleidoscope of colors and forms in the work of French artists in Paris (1910-1914). His paintings illustrate the steps of his journey.
