The Wasteland by T. S. Eliot: One Hundred Years After

            The Waste Land, published in 1922, expresses with great power the disillusionment of the period after World War I.  In this section of the poem, the prophet Tiresias foresees and experiences the damaged and disappointing human relationships of the aimless souls in the wasteland.
