Dear Mattituck-Laurel Community,

As we head into the warmer months, your Community Library is full of opportunities to connect, explore, and engage. From summer traditions to community programs and future planning, there’s something for everyone.

As winter gives way to spring—bringing longer days and renewed energy—the Mattituck-Laurel Library is looking forward to a season of connection, learning, and community.

Warm New Year’s wishes to our community! We are so grateful for another year of fun, learning, and connection with our patrons, and we look forward to a bright and successful 2026.

Registered voters in the Mattituck-Laurel Library District will be voting on the proposed 2026 budget as well as elect two (2) trustees, to fill two (2) at-large seats, each with a three-year term commencing November 10, 2025 and expiring November 13, 2028.

Hopefully, by the time this newsletter reaches your mailbox, summer weather will have finally arrived on the North Fork!

The Board of Trustees of Your Community Library have been thoroughly and thoughtfully engaged in assessing the current state of our building and considering how it serves our community.

Can you feel the arrival of Spring? Warmer weather and longer days are just around the corner, and soon the Osprey will return to their nests. We’ve been hard at work planning an exciting lineup of events for our community to enjoy this Spring!

We are proud to announce that we are now supporting students in our school district with access to our ebook and audiobook collections through Sora!

Sora offers the ability for students to explore age-appropriate digital books from Livebrary.com with their Classlink credentials.
