Book Discussion: A Guardian and a Thief by Megha Majumdar

Set in a near-future, climate‑ravaged Kolkata, the novel follows Ma, a mother trying to secure a better life for her daughter, and Boomba, a young man who steals her purse to help his own family. Over the course of one week, their lives collide, exploring the fine line between guardian and thief and the lengths people go to protect their loved ones.
